In 1977, our first bakery opened at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Since then, Saint Germain Bakery has been treating their customers to delicious, hand-made oven breads and pastries. We use only the finest and freshest all natural ingredients (no preservatives) with time-honored authentic European recipes. Our baking methods ensure the highest standard of quality and freshness in each of our products, assuring our customers an experience that is “Delightfully European.” |

Saint-Germain began as a small section of Tokyu Foods and sold fresh Japanese style breads and French style pastries. |

October 1, 1970 - the section of Tokyu Foods broke off and became the first in-store bakery in Japan. |
|
|
|
November 29, 1977 - Saint-Germain Bakery opened its first store in Hawaii inside Shirokiya, located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. |

|
January 2, 1979 - a central bakery factory was opened to accommodate the increase in production and anticipated increase in the number of stores. |
|
|
|
February 1, 1990 - Saint-Germain acquired Dee Lite Bakery to provide quality local bakery products in addition to the Japanese style breads and French style pastries for the people of Hawaii to enjoy. |

January 31, 1994 - Dee Lite Bakery Inc. merged with Saint-Germain America, Inc. to become Saint-Germain America, Inc. |
